Tuscany in the Highveld?? – The White light, The Forum – Lanseria

The one aspect I love about my job is the travel, there’s always a new venue or new location that I have never seen before, usually hidden away in the far reaches of our beautiful country. This specific weekend I found myself up on the Highveld at the stunning Venue by the Forum called ‘The White Light”. Now every venue is unique and special in its own way but this one I liked particularly as it gave me ample cannon fodder to shoot the bridal couple in. Nothing worse for a photographer than when the venue is featureless and boring…luckily for me none of that monkey business here!!

The surrounding area of the reception venue gives you the feeling that your shooting in a Tuscan setting with all the décor and set ups on site, with beautiful water fountains surrounded by a lush green garden of lemon trees, vines and funky statues. At one point I thought I was shooting a scene out of the classic Gladiator movie in the Greek country side…just minus the gladiators and violence of course and add a very happy newlywed couple…and BAM!! Magic.

Great couple, awesome Guests and another great wedding under the belt… where to next?? What beautiful venue will I uncover next on my travels of white lace and best men back slaps, who knows…but I’m looking forward to it
